Projects
In Progress: Fluent Analysis
In my research I am working on modeling a cold plate heat exchanger with a Fluent thermal simulation model and a graph based model. The goal is to accurately simulate experimentally obtainable results.
In Progress: Cornhole Board
As part of an IEEEevent on campus Lockheed Martin has sponsored a cornhole board competition. This project is onhold until the fall but will use an Arduino and sensor to score the game automatically.
Sumo Robot
In a group of four mechanical engineers I helped create an automous Sumo Robot controlled by an Arduino. The robot used ultrasonic sensors to detect opponents and IR sensors for the boundaries.
Suspension Energy Harvesting
For a final project in Vibrations we created a program to look at energy being harvested by a quarter car suspension model. For this model, the suspension was a multiple degree of freedom system with uneven ground
Finite Element Analysis
As an introduction to finite element analysis, I have worked on meshing and evaluation torsional and bending stresses on a component. The analysis for this part was done in SolidWorks.
Freshman Design Project
In an independent design project I recreated the SR-71 aircraft in SolidWorks. This model was created using surface tools in SolidWorks and was an early design project of mine. I have always been interested in the design of the SR-71 and that lead me to choosing this project.
